St. Albert’s Mission Hospital needs a new machine to deliver anesthesia for surgeries, and we need your help to purchase it. Better Healthcare for Africa can purchase a refurbished anesthesia machine through Brother’s Brother Foundation (BBF) for $3,500. Your donation will be tax deductible and 100 percent of the money will be go toward purchase of the anesthesia machine. Here is a description of the machine, which will meet Zimbabwe’s power requirements and will be ready for use.
You may recall that last year, BHA worked with BBF in a similar way to purchase a large refurbished autoclave for Muvonde Mission Hospital. Muvonde regularly performs an impressive number of surgeries, including mastectomies and prostatectomies for cancer, and cataract and glaucoma surgery. They had been without a large autoclave since 1990. The new autoclave is up and running, and you can see it in the photos below.
